The Crazy Period = Too Much to Think About
Between this tues (8th April) til next wed, I'll need to finish 9 drawings, an australian film essay which i haven't even started research on, organise auditions for my experimental and meet up with my Director of Photography (D.o.P) and Production Manager to go through my script and my storyboard which i'm still developing. God!!
Then from wed til the 22nd, is experimental shoot week and there are 7 of us in our group, all girls. We each write our own script and direct it, but we collaborate with 3 others: a D.o.P, a gaffer (lighting), and a production manager. The rest of the group can choose to help out if they're free.... or not... So anyways, here's the shooting schedule lined up after we booked out the studios the best we could:
Wed 16th April- Annika's shoot: 12pm-3.30pm; 6.30pm-12am (i intend to help out, besides, you learn more this way)
Thurs 17th April- Reina's shoot: 5am-3.30pm (i'm production managing this shoot and should be there almost the entire time)
Fri 18th April- My shoot: 5am-11am then we resume at 12am of Sat 19th April til 7am. (my australian film essay is also due today, but i plan to get it done latest by Wed 16th April. Hopefully it all goes as planned)
Sat 19th April- My shoot continued: 12am-7am as i mentioned before; Grace's shoot (9am-6pm) up at the Coast (i'm lighting this one and should therefore be there the entire time); Elissa's shoot: 8pm-3am (i'm D.o.Ping this one and this requires more energy and concentration than lighting cos i'll be operating the camera and setting up shots)
Sun 20th April- Elissa's Shoot: 8pm-12am (this is only if we don't finish shooting the previous day, but hopefully we do so i get some sleep)
Mon 21st April- Alana's Shoot: 6am-3.30pm (studio); 3.30pm-4.30pm (on location) (i'm not doing anything on this and can't help out cos i'll be doing a paid gig--a music clip for the Blue Steel Signers where Killian (the guy who asked me along for the Deep Blue shoot at the Performing Arts Centre before uni started) will direct it. And i'll be camera assisting, so that'd be terrific!! Yay!! Hopefully i would've caught up with my sleep by then. All i know for now is that the shoot will be at an ice skating rink and we only have the venue til 1pm, so i'm guessing it'll be a really really early start, like 3am or 4am til 1pm.
Tues 22nd April- Grace's shoot (only one green screen shot which i'll have to light before i go to class at 8am): 6am-7.50am; Melissa's shoot: 8am-3pm
And by the end of the 22nd, i hope i'm still alive and well. Haha... Don't know how i'm gonna do it, but the adrenaline and love for film will keep me going, i'm sure... at least i hope...
Supposed to meet Yam later this afternoon for lessons in drawing, but i told her i couldn't make it for various reasons. Sorry Yam! We need to catch up in a couple of weeks.
Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for reading and thanks for caring!
