So far so _______

Went to GC on the 29th, was supposed to stay for one night only, instead morg and i stayed 2 nights. We left around 3.30pm by train, cos morg had class til 2pm, arrived and met the gang at harbour town around 5pm (they'd been shopping since 3pm). Then we went to see our apartment, the gang had been staying there two nights already, we joined them on the 3rd and 4th night, then left, they stayed another night (5th night). It was part of some package deal to stay five nights.

Anyway, i left morg with the gang so he could get acquainted, plus i had to meet up with some old friends from high school. The 29th was Kevin Ng (Jenn Li)'s birthday (my high school track and field buddy, for those of you who don't know), and Kitty had been here for almost a week and a half at the time (she was leaving on the 1st of july). Another high school friend, Susanna, (ex-classmate to be exact) had also been here around a week or so, she flew over from Melbourne where she's currently studying, and i hadn't met up with her or Kitty. Reasons for this were, i'd been busy with work and busy with restoring my shitty health (i'm almost all better now, last day of second round of antibiotics tomorrow).

Why meet in GC you ask? Cos Kitty had been there for around a week, staying with Kevin and Susanna, Annie (ex-schoolmate) and Yen Peng (ex-classmate) were at Dreamworld that day, and we'd arranged to meet up beforehand on Daniel's birthday (28th), but i cancelled.

So after morg and i dropped off our bags, it was already 7.30pm, so i left to meet up with Susanna, Annie and Yen Peng for dinner. We had japanese, and we also ate with friends of Annie's, a couple from Kian Kok, currently studying in GC, and another couple---Susanna's older bro and his girlfriend, who have graduated from QUT. Dinner was paid for by Susanna's older brother, we refused and offered to pay him back, but he said NO. He's working apparently, and decided to treat us. It was too nice of him. Anyway, after that, we'd arranged to surprise Kevin (Susanna, Annie and Yen Peng don't know him, but they decided to tag along anyway), i called up Kitty and we arranged a place to meet---Gellatissimo.

I walked up to them as they were queuing for ice cream and said "Hey! Happy Birthday!". Haha... Needless to say, Kevin was shocked. We actually stood there and talked for quite a while, and i mean a long while. His friend/room mate, Rory, was also there, and pretty soon Su Wen Jie (TTSS badminton player) turned up, they are all Bond Uni students. Kevin actually had his last exam the next day, so he wanted to go back and continue studying. We kept trying to leave, but we'd always move on to another topic before they could leave. Basically just too busy catching up. It was a nice gathering, although we never sat down--we were just standing there, in front of Gellatissimo, in the middle of the walkway, blocking human traffic. Around 9.50pm, we said our goodbyes and Susanna, Annie, Yen Peng and I went for a short drink at Zarrafa's Coffee, just to do more catching up while waiting til it was time for them to catch the bus to the train station to get back to Brissie. Susanna was flying back to Melbourne the next day and Annie and Yen Peng i hardly see although they also go to uni here in Bris, UQ, if you must know.

I got home (as in the apartment) around 11.10pm, was pretty tired and hadn't showered, but the gang were out on the balcony, drinking, talking and shishah-ing (is that how you spell it?). Apparently the barbecue went well (they bought their own meats and bbq-ed outside at the apartment's bbq area), but Shai had overestimated the amount of meat that the 6 boys could eat, and there were a few sausages left, which we later microwaved and ate while playing "Big Two", otherwise known as "Cho Dai Di". Later in the morning, we moved from the balcony into our apartment living room for more Big Two, some watched Foxtel, it was getting cold out there on the balcony (very windy), and bear in mind that it's winter... By 12am, officially the 30th of June, Morgan's birthday, Morgan was drunk and asleep in his sleeping bag. I finally left the group to take a shower at around 1.20am, when i came out, everyone was asleep. I had to wait for my hair to dry, so i continued my book, The Beach (Nad passed it to me before she left)... And my God, it's a really good book. It's written in a way that's so believable that you could've sworn the author actually experienced it. I'm more than halfway through and hope to finish it within the next few days. A couple of days before the trip, i'd just finish reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Has'd told me that it was good, and i agree, it explores almost the same things as Tuesdays with Morrie, guess that's just Albom's style, and it's what he always thinks about.

Anyways, sorry, sidetracked for a second there. I read til about 4am, then climbed into bed. As girls, we got the queen sized bed, just like last time, so i climbed into bed where Shairah was snoring like a bear... yes, a bear. And as if i didn't have enough to listen to, the wind was howling, rattling the windows constantly... Gee... And not drinking at all didn't help either (i was on antibiotics and couldn't drink). The rest slept like logs cos they'd been drinking. Anyway, i sorta grabbed bits of sleep between waking caused either by Shai's snoring, the loud rattling windows, or the cold. I woke around 1o.30am cos i'd set my alarm, thinking we were having pancakes for breakfast as planned. But instead we had that for lunch... and LATE lunch at that--3.30pm. That was after we had watermelon for breakfast and hung around at the beach. Surprisingly the beach wasn't cold, it was perfect... I'm tanning during winter next year so i don't get too crisp (like what happened end of last year... the burnt incident, gosh that was stupid). We were sooooooo full from the all-you-can-eat pancake deal. I ate 3 and 3/4 and had two mugs of coffee. Full as ever. The rest went back to the apartment to "lie down" (all the guys had around 8-9 pancakes, morg had 4 i think, shai had 3), while Shai, morg and I went to walk around, window shopping. Nothing much. In the middle of our walk, i had to excrete. My tummy wasn't feeling very well after the pancakes, and i thought it was maybe cos i overate, but thought nothing of it.

Only when i went to evacuate my bowels did i realise it was diarrhea... Crap. A funny little thing happened when i was doing this, two Chinese girls walked into the toilets and spoke in Mandarin like this:

Girl 1: Wa... You Ren Da Bian
Girl 2: Shi. Hao Chou ah...

Then they walked into the cubicles on either of my sides. (Smart move)

Girl 1: Zhen De Le. Mmph... Hao Chou!
Girl 2: Mm. Ni Huan Mian Bao Gan Mah?
Girl 1: Mm.

Then i could hear one of them changing their pads... But the part about where they were talking about my stinky shit was funny, i suppressed my giggles. Cos Shai heard them talking just before she left, she later asked me if i heard them... I said "Duh!" and laughed. Shai said i should've just did an EVIL LAUGH when they said that. Thinking about it, i regretted not doing that. Haha. Would've been funny. I think the diarrhea could've been caused by the sashimi i had the night before, OR the bits of watermelon that fell on the table that morning which i picked up and ate anyway.

Anyway, everyone was so full from pancakes, it wasn't until about 11pm that we STARTED getting hungry... The Teo siblings (Raimi, Shai and Jairal) made stew and cooked rice for the group, and by 1am, we had dinner. It was delicious lamb stew and rice. I was still having stomach aches from time to time, and farted a lot, plus i was soooo hungry by 1am, i was having gastric... i think...

But that was a crazy day. Morg and i were supposed to leave that day, cos he had school work to do and i was supposed to go clubbing with Daniel and the rest before he went back to KK, but Amy was sick and Van had work, Kim was also sick and Sisco was lazy. So basically it wasn't gonna happen, and Shai and the rest requested that we stay another night. It was up to morg, he said ok, so we did.

It was a crazy day, lunch at 3pm, dinner at 1am... Anyway, i slept earlier that night, round 12 or 1 am, was real tired cos i didn't sleep much the day before.

The next day was eventful, i was the last to wake up at around 12pm, and we went to play mini golf. We split into two teams--- team 1: Sherman, Kevin, Jairal (Shai's younger brother) and me; team 2: Raimi, Shai, Chan and Morg. In terms of individual placing, i was third out of both teams, but second in my team. However, our team lost to team 2 in terms of team scores. Anyhow, it was great fun. We had lunch and later went to take antique photos...we had the choice between mobsters and cowboys, shai and i didn't wanna wear dresses or corsets... anyway, this is how they turned out:

OK, PROBLEM LOADING PICS. WILL POST THEM NEXT TIME.

Around 5pm, we headed back to the apartment to pack, catch the train and watch Transformers at 8.30pm, we were sorta 12 mins late, only 2 minutes late for the movie cos there were 10 minutes of ads. I think i would've enjoyed it more if we had better seats... I didn't think it'd be so packed, but it was PACKED! We had to sit at the first row. Our necks were aching and eyes were messed up after the show. I thought it'd be crap, but i guess it was ok. The music annoyed me cos it was over dramatic, but the transformers were way cool and i liked how the writer scattered funny bits throughout the movie. All i can say is that it was entertaining.

Why rush back to watch a movie you ask? WELL... Cos we made an attempt to watch it on Daniel's birthday, but Amy was late getting ready and Daniel got a bit pissed off, plus he was leaving soon (at the time; he's in KK now, flew last night). I'd say Daniel's 21st was a nice day though, cos we (morg and i) woke up early to get JD for him, he was so happy. But he woke up late... around 3pm, and we (Amy, Van, Sisco, Kim, Morg and I) were supposed to have lunch with him. In the end, Daniel ended up waking up to an empty apartment, JD at his door, on his birthday. Haha... then he called me while morg and i were having late lunch at Blue Lotus down at Urban Village, and came to join us. After that, we went to play pool in the city, then cos we missed the movie, we had dinner at Bubbles and hung out at Van's apartment til late.

Van, Amy, Eric, Lalat and another friend will be flying to Melbourne tomorrow. They asked me to join them awhile ago, but at the time i'd been sick for almost two weeks and hadn't worked much. So i said "thanks, but i can't". If it wasn't for my shit health and work, i would've gone down there. They'll be there til the 11th, traveling around with a tour group and they've also got ski trips planned... more like snowboarding trips... So they should have a great time. Van's younger sister is in Melbourne, Melissa, she used to play represent TTSS in basketball. Van said Melissa asked that i went too. I told her my aunty (Tai Yi) also told me to go, but.... you know the rest, don't wanna get repetitive now. Haha.

I hope i've covered most of what's been going on.

Anyway, i'm lined up to work til Saturday, then i have Sunday off, and back to work on Monday-Tuesday, and as for the rest of the week, we'll see when the roster comes out.

That's all for now, thanks for reading and thanks for caring!
