And the holiday begins...

Got through my first ever uni exam today... Hope i did well. We had the questions given to us beforehand and all we had to do was prepare... I prepared for it in around 4 days and memorised for 2 days. My brain is fried... It was sort of like speeding through 5 essays in 2 hours... I had to stay away from alcohol, music and movies for a week just so i wouldn't get "too comfortable" and wouldn't have other things on my mind. It sorta worked. We'll see. All i can say is i did my best.

So first sem is over and the holidays have started for me. To pay off this huge ass internet bill (don't ask. we went over 9 Gigs) i called up Navroz and told him i wanted 8 hour shifts 6 days in a row... but i just got my roster after my exam and i only have 5 days of work starting on Thursday (i allowed myself a day's break), one shift is 8 hrs, break for a day, next is 6hrs, next is 6, next is 7 and last is 5. Basically i still need another 8 hours... so i'll be working as much as possible in these 2 months... not just cos of the bill, but also cos rent is going up by 10 buck (daniel and i are splitting, 5 each) and i'll be going on a short GC trip again (hopefully less puking), plus i really should save up.


Grade review:

Worst grade so far is the 4+ i got for my 5 min silent short film (very very unhappy with that).
I have 5 more grades coming i think... either 4 or 5. Should be picking one/two up tomorrow.
Rest of my grades are 6, 6-, 5-, 7, 7, 6-, 5-. Different grades for different units of course... Just too lazy to be specific.


Our group documentary (ours is a mockumentary) is due Thursday, that's been taken care of by Freddie (our director) and Lea (our editor), i was in charge of sound, so i basically did my part early in the process. I've seen the rough cut, looks great, very happy with it. I'm thankful i have a good group.

My script's due Friday. Still seeing how i can improve... I've had a few good suggestions from Kak... eg. make Sam a dog, show Donnie likes "living in the past". The only problem is i've sorta reached my 10min limit (10 pages in word), if i add anything or change anything, i'm gonna have to rework everything else. Hmm... This script is worth 50%. Haha... tough choice. I'll think of something hopefully... I have 2 days.

Morg's gonna be here on the 14th... arriving around 11pm. Nad'll be moving her stuff over soon, she's going to the New Jersey, US... some uni called Mont Claire Uni on exchange... she'll be gone for a sem. So she's sorta moving out. She'll be living with us for a few days before her pilot friend drops by on the 17th, will live with us for around 2 nights and leave with Nad. They'll be flying around i don't know where... Then Nad'll be in KK for 2 months before she leaves for the US.

The 23rd of this month should be interesting cos i'll be helping Linda out on her shoot, and this time we're shooting on 16mm. Yay! How exciting!

Daniel's b'day's coming up. 28th i think. Have to double check. But he says he'll be back in KK by then (even though he hasn't even booked his ticket yet). So it looks like it'll be me and my apartment and the occasional morgz and work and short trips to places and drinking and movies and more movies... Haha... Should be like any other holiday. Haha... except that now i have family here! Haha... Finally another that breaks the cycle.

Anyway, Amy, Van and Daniel are dragging me to go to Family this friday night... It's a club that plays mostly trance and house music. Thing is i'm working on Saturday.......... at 11am. Haha... just an excuse. I'm just lazy... it's not my scene. I prefer staying at home and watching movies!
