My Rant, One Sentence Per Event/Situation
So here i am, it's 11pm on a Sunday night (06/05/07), i'm sitting in my bathrobe fresh out of the shower that i've rewarded myself with after a long day of working on my Film History Essay (Pt. B). Finally got it done. Tomorrow is a public holiday (Labor Day), and speaking of labor, that's what i'll be doing tomorrow, working as a sandwich laborer, ah, the irony. That's the only reason i decided to blog actually, i should be going to bed soon, but my hair's still wet and if i could i would watch a movie before i go to bed, but i'm better off doing a short post while waiting for my hair to dry and then go to bed, if not i don't think i could wake up early tomorrow (preferably 5.50am... work starts at 7am, and cos it's a public holiday, i'm working at Southbank).
Before i start, with respect for my grandma who passed away on the morning of the 29th of April '07, at 10.20am, i would like to say, you will be missed, and rest in peace.
So like i promised in the title of this post, i will only describe recent events with one sentence. If you would like me to elaborate, leave a comment in the cbox on the right.
-At Nad's 20th birthday gathering held at her place, i got completely wasted after mixing drinks : 3 beers followed by a can of JD and coke followed by white wine followed by vodka mix followed by puking (stupid right? i should know better) which Daniel and David cleaned up.
-Nad and i have decided to make a film and enter it in an international film competition coming up, we've already come up with the concept and idea, and over beers wrote a script breakdown, however, we have yet the time to actually write the script and do other pre-production stuff.
-There's been a lot of press circulating around one of my lecturers, Michael Noonan because of his new documentary slash reality tv show about disabled people going to Egypt which was sold to the ABC and the spinoff as a result of that show, and people (especially my Narrative lecturer, Gary) have been giving him shit about it and therefore is facing a misconduct charge and possible suspension without pay for an article he wrote with another lecturer; personally i've seen exclusive footage of the shows and i think it's great, not at all offensive or degrading and clarifies the common misconceptions related to the disabled, so i'm definitely on Michael's side. Here's the link to Gary's manipulative and misleading article:

-Oh, i was gonna wait til i was 25 to actually enter a club, but at Nad's party, Amy whom i met last year invited me to her birthday party this coming saturday night which will be held at the club Fridays (yes, that is the exact same club that Jay and I were left outside of), and i promised i'd go, so we'll see how that turns out, and i'll definitely drink less and NOT MIX drinks this time.
-Whole of last week, besides doing my Film History essay (Pt. A), i had group meetings with my group members Fredrik (Norway), Lea (France), Truls (Norway) and Reina (Japan) where we as a group put together a documentary proposal, script, schedule and shotlist for a mockumentary we're gonna shoot as our second and final assignment for KPB101-Foundations of Film and Television Production; this should be fun.
-I got a 5- for my script The Picker-upper, which i must admit i'm not happy with, but have learned to accept (at least it's not a 4) as i read the criteria sheet of 3 pages on why i got a 5-.
-In our last KPB101 tutorial last Friday, Michael Noonan brought our 5-minute videos to class for screenings and peer evaluation; from what i can tell by the silence of the class (which i was later told by Annika, one of my classmates, it was a good silence meaning that there weren't any bad points besides lighting-for which i was told by Michael that i would be marked down), i'm not too sure if i did well, but Michael said some good things about my angles, focus pull and cuts on action.
-I have managed to watch 5 movies over the past 2 weekends even though i've had so many assignments... not that that's something to be proud of, i really should've been doing my assignments, but i think i deserve 5 breaks once in awhile! Haha... But everything's fine, i have 1 assignment left (Doco proposal) that's due Friday, since i've already done my essay, so i'm on track.
-I had one whole pizza this afternoon at 3.30pm, Daniel was over at Vinnie and David's smoking pot with Nad... haha... and i was doing my assignment and felt hungry... REALLY hungry... go figure... i feel like a fat person...
-Did i mention i've finished a whole bag of cookies in the span of 2 weeks and almost everyday i've had at least ONE sub from Subway and at least TWO cookies... God, i really need to get back to exercising... just haven't had the time...
That's all for now, it's 11.32pm and i think i should leave you here... Night people... but i'm hungry so i'll have some pizza before i hit the sack.
Thanks for reading and thanks for caring!
