Hey "Selfish Bastard Productions,"
This is Abe from Campus MovieFest. As you might know, about 30,000 students have created short movies during this year's tour, and we've been blown away by the quality and passion. We hope you're excited with your success at your school and the regional finale.
And now we have some more good news. A panel of nationwide judges has selected your movie to be shown during the Campus MovieFest National Grand Finale. We're holding the celebration in partnership with The Atlanta Film Festival, offering additional nationwide exposure for your creation.
On Friday, April 27, at 9pm, we'll showcase the top 16 films from the 2006 - 2007 CMF Tour. Some of our partners will award some prizes, including the TBS Very Funny FIlm Award for $10,000. But most of the night will be focused on the movies and you, the filmmakers. We're planning to have a Q&A on-stage after the showings for all filmmakers who are in attendance.
We know it's not easy to make it to Atlanta, but the Atlanta Film Festival lists recommendations for travel on their FAQ:
Please let us know the chances that any of your team will be able to make it, and we'll plan accordingly for the Q&A and hopefully some other activities. We also look forward to working with NU to let the media know about how your movie has advanced in the world's largest student film festival.
Congratulations, and thanks again for your participation in Campus MovieFest!
Abe
