So far so good

Firstly, i would like to thank my parents for flying all the way over here and helping me clean up the crappy apartment (actually they did all the cleaning). Thanks guys!! Love you!!

Second, it is always nice to see your parents again after 4 months even though the part where they leave you yet again is not a good feeling. Yes, i am still a baby. I admit. So what?? Aren't we all at some stage?

Third, it is also always nice to travel around by car after 4 months without mine. So the holidays were cool. My parents left me with a much better environment than before and now it's much easier for me to do the things i need to, things like being able to sit on a toilet seat again (the previous one was filthy and i think it's safe to say that my horse-riding stance for Taekwondo has greatly improved, yes people, i can now squat at any time of day even if i just woke up), i have a much more comfortable bed (less back pains hopefully), better working environment (got a good study desk that can accommodate both my books and my computer and printer) and a few months supply of toilet paper. Haha... all's good.

Now for the update. Shelley, i think that's how it's supposed to be spelled, my new housemate, just moved in yesterday. Let's see how many facts i can squeeze into one sentence... She is a 21-year old masters student at UQ that works full-time at an accounting agency that's five-minutes walk from my place, excuse me, our place and has a boyfriend named James who works at Telstra and can get us free internet dial-up and modem, has a high-pitched squeeky voice and is about the same height as myself, has Vietnamese parents that were permanent residents before they even had her and therefore she has an Aussie accent and an Aussie boyfriend. Phew... Get all that? Yup. It's only been 19 and a half hours since she moved in yesterday and most of today i've been in school so i can't really comment on whether she's easy or difficult to live with but i'll keep you updated.

Another thing, wow... Elective subjects this semester and my diploma subject (Introduction to Multimedia Technology) is pretty interesting and is more about exploring the thoughts of the free mind and expressing creativity in our own individual way, safe to say that i like it, but like i mentioned in the previous post, i'm pretty stressed about the outcome of all my pieces of assessment as well. Like i said, it's hard to come up with a masterpiece every single week for show and tell in Tim's class (Introduction to Creativity) and come up with a self map in Ken's class (Introduction to Multimedia Technology). Professional Studies is all about thinking outside the box as well so it's kind of overwhelming. Guess i'll just take it as it comes. For now i am really dry on ideas for what i'm gonna talk about in Tim's class for show and tell this Wednesday and my analysis on why i think it incorporates or is creative. Gosh... And it has to be something i like too... Reasoning, reasoning... IMT (introduction to multimedia technology) is really cool though, i will be learning photoshop and dreamweaver and one of our assessments is to create our own self map that represents us, like i said earlier, as well as a self website that can represent ourselves professionally. Cool or what?? But there are so many readings for every week. It's kind of scary. I also have readings for Tim's class and Merrill's Professional Studies class... So looks like this sem will be taken over by reading. Hmm... and i read so slow... Hopefully all the reading will speed up my reading tempo. That's all for now... Got a lot of reading to catch up on, plus i would like to shower before Shelley gets home... So she doesn't see me in my bathrobe that Shairah describes as "look at me, i'm the queen". Weird...

Thanks for reading and thanks for caring.
