Memory, leaving a vacuum of emptiness
For what seems like an already hollow shell;
Instigator of the distant silhouette of darkness,
How long to resurface only fate will tell.

The forgotten and hidden revisited after an insensitive slap from reality,
As the once caged green monster attempts to break free.
A bloody battle with the face of reason
To conquer the only precious dance within the heart;
With a sticky web of broken silence
Bringing back stinging pieces of reminiscence,
Was truth the cause of consolation?
Or another form of poison gasping for air?
Lest Feelings of the past corrupt the soul once again,
Chance stands on an ever diminishing foundation
For a burning fire will always await the quench of water
In fading hopes that a river will drown out the pain of invisible wounds.
