Just Random Stuff

The first time i cycled up the hill to school was maybe 2 weeks ago, i didn't switch gears cos i didn't think of it at the time, so it was killing me, and all the while i was listening to James Blunt's song--Out Of My Mind, and i thought to myself-- I am out of my mind cycling up such a steep hill. The second time, i switched the gears from 3,2 to 1,1 and it was so much better. I was still our of breath when i reached the top but at least i didn't give up halfway and got off to push my bike up like i did the first time. Haha.

The Friday that Morgz came, which was last Friday for me, Helen Jones took the 8 of us that signed up to visit the Art Museum. It was so cool, the paintings looked so realistic and there were even a few of Picasso's pieces of work there, including the one that got stolen. I can't post any pictures at the moment cos there's an error loading page or something. It's because i over used my quota for downloading. The quota count will start anew on the 29th of March. Which is this Thursday, i think. It's so inconvenient. We were allowed to take pictures as long as there was no flash, i'm guessing it's to preserve the painting. There were also these high tech sensors and alarms that would go off if anyone was standing too close to any piece of artwork. I'll post the pictures up when the quota starts recounting or when i get internet at my place, which should be in April. Hopefully. I recently discovered that part of why i was so sad or lonely when my parents first left was because i had no internet. The internet is like my connection to the outside world. I would be able to talk to people for free through the net, even though i do have a phone, it's expensive to call my parents. So i can't wait for the internet, then i won't feel so alone when i'm home, and i won't have to cycle or walk up the hill every time i need to use the internet.

This is for my parents: Djenta says Ali will be leaving for Indonesia at the end of April and she will be leaving at the end of May after she gets her results. So i can take over starting June if i want to. She also said that she'll give me more information about the scooter, since you mentioned you MIGHT want to buy it, now i think she thinks that you REALLY want to buy it. Uh oh... So give me a call when you decide what to do, Dad. I'll have to pay $185 rent a week for a place that looks like crap but is in a very strategic location. I could get a place at where Nadira's boyfriend is staying for only $140 a week that is much nicer than where i'm staying, it's at Spring Hill, closer to the city but not that close to Kelvin Grove. So i don't know what to do. Mom, dad, do i stay on here or move somewhere cheaper? I could put up a notice to look for other flatmates, there'll be a new batch of students coming in for the 2nd semester foundation... I suppose i could do that.

Yesterday, Saturday, 25th March 2006, i woke up at 9.30am and got ready as Shairah would be coming over around 10 something. She came around at 10.30am and said we should leave straight away to catch a bus to Dominos in Newmarket(about 2km from my place). Her bro would be meeting us there. I'll cut the story short, we went to Dominos but she got a call saying her bro will meet us only an hour later as his bus was at 11.25am. So we walked a short distance to Coles opposite Dominos and walked around(mom and dad would know which area i'm talking about, mom, you coloured your hair there and dad, we bought beer and bacardis at BWS there). After walking around and sitting around for an hour we walked back to Dominos to order whilst waiting for Raimi, her brother( he was in one of the pictures i posted up a long time ago). When the pizza was ready, we took it and walked over to Nando's(it's in the same area as Coles). We ordered a whole chicken with hot sauce and drinks cos both Raimi and i agreed that one large pizza would not be enough for the 3 of us. They paid for the meals and drinks. I said i'd pay them back with beer, so after lunch we walked over to BWS(beer, wine, spirits) and i bought Miller's. We then took a bus back to my place to enjoy the beer. I frightened Ali who was watching tv on the couch and then went straight to his room after we occupied the dining table. We got to talking and soon found out that we(Shairah and I) actually live in the same Taman!!! Taman Likas Jaya, our houses were only 2 roads away. What a small world!!! We got so excited... Haha... Then after drinking, we took a bus to the city and had a ride on the CityCat, which took us across the river to Southbank where we enjoyed the Flea Market. I bought a pack of cards, special cards for $10. Then we went back to the city and caught our respective buses home. It was a fun day and much more relaxing cos we didn't have much homework and assignments due this coming week.

This morning, Sunday, i woke up at 6am then went back to sleep, 7.30am then went back to sleep after a toilet break, then woke again at 9.50am for a toilet break. I was then contemplating if i should go back to sleep or wake up to have breakfast. I dozed off after i set the alarm clock to 10.40am. I decided to cook the bacon for lunch, leftover from when my parents were here. i woke up later than planned at 1pm. I started cooking after brushing my teeth. I cooked the 55 pieces of bacon and an egg. I ate them with wholegrain bread. Yum... And drank Lift, the lemon soft drink that my parents bought for me before they left. Yum... Then i cleaned my room again, washed the dishes then cycled here to the com labs to blog. That's bout it for now, i've got to get back, it's 6.30pm here and it's already dark. I've got Comm1 homework, Math homework and the weekly Econs1 news analysis to do. Hehe... See ya...

OMG!!! 55 pieces?..I love bacon. 1st of all, Im addicted to bacon. 2nd of all, bacon is bad for my health, 3rd of all, bacon is highly addictive and could spread the addiction to other people. Maybe we should ban bacon too? hahaha.. just pulling your legs.
