Everything, too much information...
On Friday i finished class at 4pm and walked home, and anticipated Morgz coming. At the time i hadn't been told what time he was coming and what transport he would be using. So i was just waiting for him to inform me. I watched the commonwealth games on tv while waiting. Morgz then called me(i think) around 6pm to tell me when and where i'd need to pick him up(by foot). So i lazed around until it was time, i had a daily bus ticket for that day as i went to the city during Activity Time with Helen Jones who took 8 of us to the Art Museum that afternoon, so i used the bus ticket to get to the city at around 8.30pm. You have to understand that before this i had never gone out to the city that late at night ALONE. So this was a new experience for me. I walked from home to the bus platform at school. The roads were quite well lit so i was okay. To cut down on elaboration, i got on a bus and reached the city at 8.40pm. I brought a map with me cos i didn't know where Central Station was. That was where Morgz would get off, he came be train. I didn't have any major problems looking for the place, by the time Morgz called to say he'd arrived, i was a minute or two away from the arrival gate. So i met up with Morgz and gave him a hug, cos i was still a bit homesick and it was a relief and comfort to have a family member around. Oh, and remember how i said crying never helped anyone and so i forced myself not to cry? Scratch that, i cried a long time ago instead of holding it in, and i felt better and have since no longer been homesick. So anyways, back to the "story". I met up with Morgz, and we wanted to have dinner, by that time, it was around 9pm+... And we hadn't had dinner, so we were quite hungry. Evenso, we went grocery shopping first before we looked for a place to eat. It was Friday night, so shops usually close at 10pm. I had to buy stuff like milk and i can't remember, i just had to buy groceries and beer. Morgz having had some alcohol the night before with his friends at Gold Coast, was also looking for drinks. Conveniently enough, there was a BWS(beer, wine, spirits) store on the same floor as Woolworths. So we bought a 6pack of XXXX ( i still had 2 cans left over from when my dad was here) and Schmirnoff(Vodka and lime, Morgz wanted it). Then we headed over to Woolies to buy stuff. When we were done with shopping, we carried our heavy drinks(heavy for Morgz) and groceries(Morgz helped) while walking around looking for a place to eat, by this time, most of the food stalls at the food court at the Myer Centre were already closing up, but we decided on Red Rooster. It was a nice dinner, except that the fries were so Dang salty... And chatted like we always did. After that, we were tired, so we took a bus home(0r at least to the bus platform at KG-Kelvin Grove). We arrived at 10.01pm and just missed the free night bus service they provide, which is obviously only up til 10pm. I''ve used this service 3 times so far, cos my place is on campus, the driver took me straight to my doorstep. But we missed it by a few minutes so we ended up walking home. I took a shower after i got back while Morgz chilled in my room. Then we decided to watch a movie while drinking. We watched In Her Shoes then went straight to bed, cos the alcohol made us sleepy, plus we were already pretty tired. It was 2am when we slept.
Saturday morning, i set the alarm for 8.30am, but we were so tired, we kept snoozing and when we finally decided to get up, it was about 10am. We had cereals for breakfast then headed for the city. I showed Morgz around the QUT Gardens Point campus which led us straight into the Botanic Gardens(which were beautiful and peaceful), then later on decided to have lunch at Chinatown, which was Dang far from the city, we decided to walk, and because we forgot to bring along a map, we could only check the map at bus stops, so it was pretty inconvenient, but it was a fun experience. Right Morgz? Nadira(my best friend for a year in primary school, primary one), I'll elaborate later, too much to say. No, i'll do it now. Nadira, we sorta drifted apart when we changed classes in Primary2. Anyways, i found out from David(my cute mentor during orientation) that Nadira did foundation the year before and was currently studying what i want to study next year! We're the same age, but we studied in different schools, my school(TTSS) pushes SPM and UEC back one year, so i graduated a year later than Nadira who studied in Seri Insan(a school for spoilt, rich kids, at least that's what i've been told). Back to the main "story", Nadira had asked me out to lunch the previous Sunday, but i wasn't that familiar with what buses i should take to where, so i decided to change it to that Saturday. So i called her on the way to Chinatown. Apparently, she just woke up and would get ready and meet us a Chinatown. So when Morgz and i got there, we were pretty hungry and decided to have Thai this time, when i called Nadira, she said she was still at home and it would take her half and hour to get to Chinatown. So i politely asked if we could exclude her this time and instead have a coffee or something that afternoon. She agreed and so i said, i'd call her that afternoon to see where we'd meet. But after the delicious Thai lunch that Morgz treated me to(basically cos i paid for the alcohol, thanks Morgz!), we decided to take a bus to the Cultural Centre where i had been the previous afternoon(with Helen Jones and 7 other friends). We checked the buses that went there and waited on the 301 from Chinatown, but the bus didn't come and was about 15minutes late, so we decided to walk further and wait at another bus stop. We did that and ended up walking all the way back to the city. At the city, we saw the 301 across the street and risked getting fined by running across to catch it, we were so relieved when we got on but were so tired. Morgz started to doze off, but i soon realized i didn't recognise the surroundings. Morgz suggested that we should ask the bus driver, so i walked up to the front of the bus when the bus was at a stop and asked the driver. He said this bus was on the way to Nudgee(wherever the hell it was, i didn't know and it was in zone 3, our daily ticket was only for zones 1-2, God bless the bus driver who punched in zones 1-2 on the ticket even though we didn't ask for it). He advised us to get off at THAT stop we were at and take THE OTHER 301 across the road which would take us to the cultural centre. At one point when he said he WOULD NOT be passing by the Cultural Centre, i actually asked him if he was joking. Thinking back now, that was a stupid question, i feel so embarrassed. I can't believe i asked, "are you serious?" hahaha) Anyways, we got off and started waiting at the other bus stop. Morgz was awake then and so was i, luckily we were in zone 2 and did not need to buy another ticket to get back, come to think of it, if we asked any later than we did, we could have been in zone 3 and would need to spend money on another ticket. That would've really sucked. We waited at the stupid bus stop where the sun was shining straight at us. We couldn't take it, so we hid from the sun at the side of the bus stop. There was barely enough space for the both of us. We laughed about taking the wrong bus and joked that the 301 may not stop cos we were hiding where the bus driver would not see us. Haha... But of course we kept poking our heads out to check if the bus was here. We waited for about 15mins(i think) until the bus finally came, Hallelujah!!! We were on our way to the Cultural Centre, FINALLY!!! A sense of relief... When we got there, we decided to go to the museum because i had been to the art museum already. We were there from about 4.15pm(actually i can't remember what time we reached the museum, if you remember Morgz, correct me) til closing time, 5pm. We enquired about the museum's business hours for Sunday. The lady told us that they'd be open from 9.30am to 5pm. So we decided to come back the next day as we hadn't finished looking at everything. We took a bus back to the city after that and watched a movie, History Of Violence. A piece-of-crap movie by the way, those of you planning to watch it at the cinema, i advise you against it. It's totally rubbish. Morgz paid for the tickets(paying for my stuff again!!! Thanks Morgz!) so i didn't waste my money. Then we went home and ordered Domino's... I had a discount card, so it was only $14 something. Morgz paid a bit again, even after i insisted i'd pay for dinner... Anyways, we had dinner, which was yummy then took turns taking showers. I then called Nad to apologize for not calling her that afternoon for coffee and tried to reschedule for Sunday lunch, but she said she would be busy and so we decided on Monday. After that, our same routine, a drink and a movie, this time we watched The Constant Gardener, which was okay, but we were dozing off by the end of it, because of the beer and Schmirnoff. What was funny was that we knew we were dozing off, but still let the movie run on and kept trying to wake ourselves up, it was like we were so sleepy but HAD to finish the movie before we slept, it was like studying for a test. But it was actually quite early, the movie ended exactly 10minutes before 12am, so we brushed our teeth and slept like logs til the next morning.
This time we got up on time, i set the clock to 8.30am so we wouldn't waste any time. We had Hot Cross Buns for breakfast(one of the things we bought at Woolies) then set off, this time, with a map. We reached the cultural centre and continued our browsing. At around 11am, Nad called me and asked if we could have lunch, apparently she was free that afternoon cos her "thing" got cancelled. So we agreed to meet at Borders for lunch at 1pm. Morgz and i were there early and looked around. By the time Nad arrived, it was about 1.30pm and Morgz was really hungry, i was only slightly hungry. Nad wanted to take us to a Vietnamese restaurant but it was closed, so we tried a Japanese restaurant in the same building, which was also closed on Sundays, in the end, we suggested Sizzlers. We(Morgz and i) didn't realize it was $24 something for a meal until we got in and were waiting to be seated, but we were so hungry, we didn't want to walk around looking for other cheaper restaurants. So we decided to indulge and pamper ourselves for once. It was an all you can eat type thing, with desert, salads and everything. But we were only allowed one steak with mash potatoes. Evenso, it was great. Nad and i sorta talked and Morgz was kind of bored(right Morgz?), anyways, he was waiting for his friends to call him, they were also in Brisbane staying with a friend, they planned to take the train back together. So after Morgz finished eating, he sorta took off. Sorry if you were bored Morgz!!! Not my fault, Nad kept talking to me. Haha... plus we haven't talked in ages. We have soooooooooo much in common, except our principles, haha, but that's a tale for another day. Moving on, after Morgz left, Nad and i stayed on and had desert, then she asked me to go over to her place(she lives with her boyfriend, but is currently looking for a place to move in with David, my cute mentor and some other guy i don't know, see what i mean by different principles? anyways, that's for another time). My original plan was to go home after lunch, at the time, it was already 5pm. Oh my God. But she insisted and said that THAT(my homework, after i told her) wasn't much. So i ended up walking with her to her place to watch a Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gaundry film called Human Nature. I told her i wanted to be back by 7pm. So she said, she'd get her boyfriend, Daniel's flatmate, Vinnie(short for Vincent) to send me home. On the way back to her place(Spring Hill), we saw her friends, 3 of them, who stayed in the same apartment block but different apartment, at 7-11. They were getting slurpees... We headed back after she talked to them after a while. Long story here... I met Daniel, who was walking around with low-waisted jeans and was topless... I could see he had a nipple ring(no, i didn't stare at it), had messy long black hair up to his shoulders and wore glasses. Skinny guy... Not what i had in mind for Nad's boyfriend. I thought she'd go for the cute type, but i was wrong. Anyways, i was in desperate need for a toilet break, so we weren't introduced properly, i just said hi, he was in his room, and then i headed for the toilets. When i came out Nad said she had to clean the kitchen first, which was a MESS!!! Gross!!! Then the 3 friends we met at 7-11, Cisco, Vanessa and Amy(from Seri Insan) came over. Nad asked if we could watch the movie at their place, cos they had a proper tv and dvd player, whereas if we watched at Daniel's we had to use a computer... Initially they said they wanted to study so we couldn't watch there, but then they decided to play basketball and so we watched it at their place, which was downstairs. After Nad cleaned the kitchen, they hung out at the balcony and smoked, Nad didn't smoke, but the other four did. Gees!!! The two girls, Vanessa and Amy were basketball players( i could tell by the short hair and the way they walked and talked). The four of them went off to play basketball while Nad and i watched the movie. It was a good but weird movie... 5minutes before the movie ended, they came back from basketball and hung out. Nad called Vinnie and said he was at David's doing work and would be back "soon", which was at 8 something pm. Gees!!! But it was fun to hang out, the apartments were nice and i got to see how other people lived, what kind of lifestyle and stuff like that. Vanessa actually bought an electronic drum set which cost $3000 Aussie, oh my God! But she didn't seem very enthusiastic about it. And i later on found out that i knew her younger sister, Melissa who studied at TTSS. They are "Wong Kwok Sun"(which means Wong Kwok grandchildren, which meant they were freaking rich). Anyways, it was fun, and Cisco was organizing this paintball thing on the 8th of April and Nad said she'd only go if i did, so i agreed to go. It's all about new experiences right? But the deposit would cost $25 per person and $8 for entry. In total it would cost $33. Is that okay, mom and dad? Tell me when you call. I sorta promised already though. But i can cancel if needed. Anyways, we watched game shows on tv while i waited for Vinnie. He came at about 8.10pm. Nad tagged along to see where i lived so "we could hang out" as she put it. When i got home, i thought, "Cool, met new people to hang with," but i also felt a bit lonely again cos Morgz was not there anymore, it was so much fun having someone to accompany you everywhere. Hope that's the case next year Morgz!!! It'll rock!!!
I'll post pics soon and FINALLY start on why i was so busy this week and other philosophies. It's almost 7.30pm here, and i'm getting hungry. Thanks for reading and thanks for caring!!!
