Results are in

The third and final day of sports day, it was sunny at first but then towards the middle it rained and by the time it ended it was sunny again. This sorta reflected on the way i felt throughout the whole thing. I was happy when i got there after a terrible incident, i thought my eyes were gonna burn out of my sockets cos of my mom. The night before i guess she was too sleepy so she put her contacts(or at least the left one) into my case instead of hers and put her solution into it. Her solution was different and needed a special case that had this special disc. Emphasis on the word SPECIAL. The next morning(or rather afternoon, i woke up at 12) was the morning of sports day. It started in the afternoon, round 1.30pm. So i put on my contacts as we were going to leave soon, by "we" i mean my mom and I, and holy moly, i felt a burning sensation in my right eye. Literally, burned the top layer of my aqueous humour, dear God. I couldn't even open my eye, it hurt so much it tied my eyelids together(reflex action i guess). I had to pull them apart with my fingers and screamed for my mom to take it(the contact lens) out. My eye was red for a few hrs... I'm sorta lazy to go through what happened after. SO, the short version is that i had to wear sunglasses to sports day(ppl thought i was tryin to be cool or something, so NOT) but everything turned out fine.

Back to sports day, as i was saying, bout my feelings, I was ecstatic when i got there, excited to see how the dancing was this yr. Then i started to reminesce about my past few sports days, so that got me thinking and slightly emotional when i realized from now on i could only be one in the crowd and could no longer take part(BOoHOo)... Then when the results were announced i was so happy for my friend and fellow athlete(Kitty, Orange hse captain) as i saw her shed tears of joy just like i did last year when her house got first place. Ah... 2nd was Desmond's Blue house(he is also captain of his house, also my fellow athlete) and 3rd was Kevin's Green house(he is also captain and fellow athlete, he helped my house with a lot of points and medals last year).

I also got to watch my parents run in the 10by100m open event, usually held for the guests and VIPs... Their team got 3rd. Good effort all in all. But my dad complained today that his legs were feeling weaker than usual. Haha... Getting old.

I also met up with one of my friends who was also an athlete(a real good one at that), Teh An Qiao, we called him Ah Teh, he used to run 400m real well but he mostly took part in the heptathlon during interschool sports. We got to talking and agreed that in the near future, we(the ex-students and athletes of ttss) would come back and gather one year for the open 10by100m event and win it. Haha... But that's just a thought. I'm pretty sure we'd be in pretty fat shape by then, without training and stuff... Haha... But i wish...
