Cooking and the library at QUT

For the past few days I've been cooking my own meals like rice with steamed vegetables and lamb, which like i said was bland. Then last night i went back to cooking eggs again and had 3 fried eggs with toasted wholemeal bread. Yumm.... And this morning i set the alarm for 9am but snoozed and then finally switched it off and went back to sleep. I ended up waking at 12pm and decided to COOK brunch. Cooking cooking cooking, washing washing washing. It's really tiring, but i'm really fed up with frozen tv dinners and fast food so all i can do is cook, i did buy the stuff like meat and veges and stuff... So i suppose it's a healthier lifestyle this way. Anyways, back to this morning's breakfast, i cooked French Toast, i'm not sure if it's French cos i'm not sure i had the correct recipe. I can only remember vaguely from past experiences in the kitchen which was like back when i was 10 years old or younger so i simply made up my own recipe for so called "french toast". I put sugar in a bowl with 2 eggs and beat them, then added milk. Then i heated the pan and melted margarine. I then soaked slices of bread one by one into the bowl of mixture that i wasn't so sure of. But in my opinion, anything that can go together in a bowl and mix well without other particles floating about and being "anti-social" should be edible after it was cooked. So i let the soaked bread fry on the pan and it smelled delicious... It's fun to experiment with cooking, especially when you don't know what you're doing. Makes it more interesting compared to following the boring everyday recipe books. 4 pieces of bread were enough to soak up the mixture in the bowl and so i had 4 pieces of "french toast" for brunch. Not bad. I enjoyed it... I had apple juice to go with it... Mmmmm......

The library's here at QUT are soooooooooooooooo cooooooooooooooooooooooool!!! I had no idea until today. After brunch i cycled up the dang hill to the library to do research on my TPS (Tertiary Prep Studies) essay about the falling birth rate in Australia... I searched and placed holds on the books here then went hunting for the books available on the shelves according to a call number. I then checked them out at this machine thingy. The machine thingy is the coolest. There's this infrared light like at supermarkets which reads the bar code your student ID card then it reads the bar codes of the books, it's amazing. And after you've checked out all the books, they print you a receipt with the due date and title and stuff. I love it. I'm so "sakai". I know. But it's really cool. That's all i have to say for now, it's short cos i've wasted or should i say spent most of my time here at the library doing research for my essay. So less time spent on blogging.

Till my next entry, thanks for reading and thanks for caring.

Hey i was surprised myself when i went to the state library( not school library), I was like a child in a zoo, well thats how one of my friends put it.
T-T.

Cuz they had Mac computers, PS2 and a Xbox in a section of the libray to let you try out some aussie made games and Mac computers, sumthing like that. Yeah i found it pretty cool. I didn't believe it when my friend told me though, i thought he was kidding.

And they have wireless internet in the library too, and free internet to let ya check out stuff online. So generally its a really good environment to study. I love it.. hahaha..
